| Anchorpoints dedication to comprehensive treatment of attention disorders led to the development of the Arkansas Attention Deficit Disorder Clinic. The clinic provides testing, consulation with physicians for medication, and therapy for children and adults. |

EVALUATIONS
|
An evaluation for Attention Deficit (ADD) or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity (ADHD) consists of a variety of components including:
Clinical interview
Child Behavior Checklist completed on children
Rating scales for adults
Testing to identify related anxiety, depression, etc.
Continuous Performance Task test (CPT)
(A CPT is a particularly useful test not just in identifying ADD or ADHD but also in monitoring the effectiveness of a medication regimen.)

TREATMENT
|
If an attentional disorder is diagnosed, the clinic can provide consultation with physicians for medication and therapy to address these issues. Treatment typically consists of behavior management, as well as education of parents, family members, school personnel and others directly involved in the clients life.

FUTURE PLANS
|
Plans for the clinic include offering seminars to educate the public about attentional disorders and support groups for those diagnosed with ADD or ADHD and their families.
